Agro colouration
Colouration of Fertilizers Fertilizers are coloured for marketing reasons or for the marking of the different qualities. Usually aqueous pigment dispersion is diluted and sprayed onto the fertilizer or incorporated into a melt. The concentrations of the colorants are within the range of 200 - 1000 ppm. Colourants: Dispers Preparations
Colouration of Seed treatments Seeds are coloured for marking and as warning reference. A seed treatment ink, which is an aqueous solution of crop protections including additives is coloured with dyestuffs or aqueous ink preparations. With this treatment the seeds are coated. Most important colour is red but in addition, all other colours are possible. The concentration of the colourants is approx. 100 - 600 ppm. Colourants: Dispers Preparations; Basonyl Red 545 liquid and Basonyl Red 555 liquid
Crop Protections Crop protections are coloured for marking or for marketing reasons. According whether it is a powder, an aqueous or an oily liquid pigments, dyestuffs or pigment preparations can be used. The concentrations are usually within the ppm range. Colourants: Heliogen Pigments, other mostly organic pigments, Basacid dyestuffs, Basovit dyestuffs, Basonyl dyestuffs
Office requisites colouration
Ball Point Pen Inks Ball Point pen inks are solutions dyestuffs and special resins in Phenoxyethanol and/or benzyle alcohol or similar solvents. The dyestuffs are usually dissolved with temperature and the pastes are afterwards filtered or centrifuged. The dyestuff concentrations are mostly between 10 - 20 %. Colourants: Neptun Bases, Neptun Black X17 liquid, Neozapon dyestuffs
Aqueous Writing Inks These are felt tip, fibre tip pens and roller ball systems. 3-5 % dyestuff, calculated dry are usually dissolved without binders in water glycol mixtures. These inks are filled after filtration into the pens. Colourants: Basacid dyestuffs, Basovit dyestuffs, some Basonyl dyestuffs. For pigmented ink possibly also Dispers and Pigmosol preparations are usable
Solvent Based Inks Solvent based inks are used for permanent markers and OHP pens (Overhead). These inks contain binders for adhesion on plastic and metal substrates. Colourants: Basonyl dyestuffs, Neptun dyestuffs, Neozapon dyestuffs
Ink Jet Inks Here we can supply 2 different kinds of inks with dyestuffs. Aqueous inks for the refill market of the office and wide range printers and solvent based inks for the packaging ink jet. Colourants: Basacid dyestuffs (aqueous inks), Neozapon dyestuffs (solvent inks)
Typewriter Ribbons In this decreasing market we offer only magnetic pigments for MICR ribbons. Colourants: Magnetic Pigment 345 BASF
Coloured Pencils For the production of coloured pencils usually organic and seldom inorganic pigments are dispersed in kaolin plus additives. With this mass leads are manufactured which are then embedded in wood. Colourants: Heliogen pigments, Fanal pigments, Lithol pigments, Sico pigments, Lumogen Yellow S 0790, Dispers preparations
Artist Colours Organic and inorganic pigments are dispersed into aqueous and oily systems. The light fastness of these pigments should be as high as possible. Colourants: Fanal pigments, Heliogen pigments, Lithol pigments, Paliogen pigments, Paliotol pigments, Sico pigments, Lumogen Yellow S 0790, Dispers preparations, Pigmosol preparations.
Detergents colouration
Powder Detergents Usually only speckles are coloured, which are then mixed with the white washing powder. In the aqueous phase of the production aqueous pigment preparations are added. Colourants: Dispers preparations, Pigmosol preparations
Rinsing Agents for Dishwasher Nowadays mainly tablets are used. They are coloured at one side. Pigments can be fixed into cracks of the machine or the plastic dishes. Therefore dyestuffs are in use. Colourants: Basovit dyestuffs
Liquid Cleaners These cleaners are usually coloured with dyestuffs because pigments create a dull solution. In cleaners of low viscosity pigments have the tendency to settle. Very important is the stability in the respective pH range and against aggressive additives. Colourants: Basacid dyestuffs, Basovit dyestuffs, Pigmosol preparations
Production of fanal type lake pigments and fluorescence pigments
Fanal pigments are manufactured by laking basic dyestuffs with metal heteropoly acids. Colourants: Basonyl dyestuffs
Fluorescence Pigments are manufactured by laking dyestuffs with appropriate resins. Colourants: Basonyl red dyestuffs
Construction Materials
Wood Materials Particle boards, MDF plates and similar products are often coloured for marketing reasons or for labelling the different qualities. The colouration is happening in the aqueous wood/glue mass with aqueous pigment preparations or basic dyestuffs. Colourants: Dispers preparations, Basonyl dyestuffs
Cement, Concrete, Grout Mass These products are sometimes coloured for marketing reasons. Due to fastness reasons inorganic pigments are mostly used. Also pigment preparations, which can be dispersed into aqueous systems, are possible. Colourants: Pigmosol preparations
Materials for floor covering, Adhesives Composition floors as well as adhesives are coloured more and more. For fastness reasons high lightfast pigments are preferred. We recommend incorporating pigment preparations. Colourants: Dispers preparations, Pigmosol preparations
Others
Crack Detections Mainly metallic materials are often examined for possible cracks. The cracks absorb a higher amount of this ink which can be detected under UV- light. Colourants: Basacid Yellow 226, Lumogen Yellow S 0790, Basonyl Red dyestuffs
Cigarette Papers The papers for the cigarette filters are mostly coloured brownish or printed with brown cork design. Exclusively FDA approved iron oxides are in use. Either the paper is coloured in the production process or white paper is printed with solvent based printing inks. Colourants: Sicopur Pigments
Other Applications There are still further application areas for colourants in market niches like e.g. colouring of match heads, flowers, natural fibres etc. The demand of colourants is usually small. If you have special requests pls. Contact our experts. All possible colourants are suitable.
